Good news! They approved new buildings at the Teesworks site. The council said yes to office and commercial spaces. Teesworks Ltd can now build the units.

They are building over 40 hybrid commercial spaces of various sizes on the huge Teesworks site. The units suit light industrial work and can be found in South Bank, nearby SeAH Wind’s factory.

Plans include 43 hybrid office/commercial units. Most of them, 35 in total, are two floors and each has a utility area and service doors. Upstairs features office space, while each unit will have parking and dedicated access.

Five units will be under 4,000 sq ft, two medium units are nearly 7,000 sq ft, and the large unit will be 11,194 sq ft. Bigger units include a service yard and HGV and car parking spots. The whole project covers over 100,000 sq ft.

Teesworks Ltd will rent these spaces to local small businesses. Many businesses might support big companies such as SeAH Wind and bp. Chris Musgrave wants locals to benefit and large companies should help the local economy.

He also wants more investment and job creation, as this area provides easy access offices. Small firms can start up or move offices there, since small businesses build the local economy’s base. They create jobs and drive prosperity, and they want small firms involved at Teesworks.

They want to start building right away and create spaces for new businesses to grow. More details about the units will come later, as they will get on site as soon as is possible.
